A lot of personality

Feeding Brady dinner has become quite a challenge. I started grabbing the video camera to help the time pass more quickly. For the first few days, Brady would eat diligently as long as the camera was on. These 2 videos are from today and yesterday. You can tell he's not so camera shy now. I can't manage to look serious enough when I shake my head and say no; he's so darn cute.

We've also begun feeding Brady real food, but that REALLY takes a lot of time. I end up sharing little bites of whatever I'm eating while we sit in the living room.

Here's a picture of Brady owning his new big boy look, with a big boy hair cut and his collar popped. As my friend Rosalinda always says, "He's getting so beeeeg!"

Eat, Swim and be Family

After Father's Day lunch at Becky's house, we went swimming at the Coles Crossing pool. It was a great way to beat the heat.

Brady's 1st Haircut

This morning, Brady got his first haircut at Cool Cuts for Kids at Town & Country. We scheduled him for the first appointment of the morning, so it wouldn't be too crowded and overwhelming. You can still see the awe in his face before the haircut. Brady got to sit in this little fire truck and watch Shrek III. We had a few weepy moments at the end, but he generally did great.

It's so much fun!

I love seeing my furry children and my sweet son enjoy one anothers' company so much. This game just doesn't get old.

Good and Bad of Townhome Life

My next door neighbor has an A/C condensate pan that leaks on my wall periodically. This is the 3rd time in three years. Here's what our living room has looked like all week.
My other neighbors, Howard and Kelley, made a little extra food for dinner and brought over the beautifully prepared meal for us?! But wait, there's more, they also cooked extra for us last Friday night?! It was such a treat; Kelley's quite the cook. Thank you both!

Palm Beach at Moody Gardens

After visiting the Aquarium, we went to Palm Beach at Moody Gardens to play in the kiddie pools. A good time was had by all.

1st School Picture

About a month or so ago we received Brady's 1st school picture. Judging by his outfit, Daddy forgot this day was picture day. It is so funny to look at all the different facial expressions. If you look closely at Brady's right hand you can see the teacher trying to hold it down because I am sure he wanted to put that toy in his mouth.

Do the Veggie Dance

The Veggie Dance is one of the little skits / songs on Sesame Street. It's the first song that's inspired Brady to dance.

Tooth Watch: Vol 1

This will probably be the first of many tooth watch pics to come. I can't believe how much taller this little tooth has already gotten!

Nap Time

After a lot of hard playing, Brady was exhausted and fell asleep in the middle of the living room. I love the way babies sleep with their bottoms in the air. Taylor made fun of me, but I just had to get a picture. If I'm shameless about the tomato pic, he should have known I'd be proud of Brady's hiney in the air too.

Tomato Caprese

I've been craving fresh fruits and vegetables a lot lately. We tried the farmers market in the Heights and were less than impressed. After the farmers market trip, I was running errands and randomly ran into a guy in the parking lot who was trying to get rid of these fabulous tomatoes... for free! What a treat! I rushed to the grocery store to get some basil and fresh mozzerella to make tomato caprese. It was so beautiful, I just had to take a picture and share.

10 - 4

Brady's now 10 months and James is almost 4 months. Aren't they cute together?

Sarah Beth - I apologize for publishing your conversation. I just thought Brady's reaction to the dogs was too funny not to post.

I put my hand up on my hip

Brady frequently does this move, but this is the first picture where we've caught him in the act.

Bacot Bit has a Bite!

Brady was chewing on my fingers today and I noticed his first tooth peeking through his gums! The first tooth! It's so exciting! I ran for the camera to snap a picture of my son's monumental accomplishment. Unfortunately, my photography's not as accomplished. In the giant mouth picture, you can just barely see a tooth popping through his bottom gums. What an exciting day!

Cheesecake Factory

On Monday, we went to Cheesecake Facotry with Pappaw and Grammy. They wanted to see Brady one more time before leaving on their Mediterranean cruise. Brady has started liking iced tea. We drop it in his mouth with a straw; I think it makes him look like a hungry little bird.
