It's a Girl!

I have been really anxious to finally find out what we're having. We had our big 20 week ultrasound early this morning, and found out that we're having a baby girl. I foresee a lot of ruffles and bows in her future. I'm so excited to start preparing for our baby girl; Grammy even got her 3 super cute little outfits already. They just make my heart melt.
We're naming our sweet baby girl Anna Belle Bacot. She will go by "Anna Belle". Even before we were pregnant, we began the naming process. It's really hard to find a name that both parents really like, and we finally landed on a name that we're both very excited about.

Air Force, Airplanes, our Elephant and a Prego Update

We went to the Wings Over Houston Air Show today, where Phillip swore into the Air Force. Here's a picture of Brady with his Uncle Phillip. They look so patriotic. Phillip will start basic training December 14th.
Brady saying "Gig 'em Aggies" in an Army jeep.

Here's a picture of Brady trying on his whole elephant costume and making his elephant sounds. We tried it on when we were video chatting with Pappaw online.
The pregnancy has been going much better. While we were waiting on the tarmac for take off to Canada, I felt the baby kick for the first time. I've been feeling him or her much more frequently as time goes by. I took off my Zofran pump on Wednesday morning, and my nausea has been pretty minimal. On Tuesday we find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I'm very anxious to find out what we're having!

Brady's First Complex Sentence

Brady has recently assembled his longest sentence to date, complete with a dependent and independent clause. He keeps repeating, "If I throw a fit, I go to time out."

Business / Pleasure Trip to Ottawa

Taylor and I went to Ottawa for one of his business trips. We left Brady and the dogs with Grammy and Megan. During gymnastics on Saturday morning, Bailey escaped from Grammy's back yard. After a lot of searching, sign posting, pound calling, etc. they found Bailey on Monday afternoon.
Brady got to go to Clay's where Grammy let him play with the animals and in the sand. We had fun, but we were really really happy to come home to our sweet boy.
We only had 2 nights in Ottawa, but it was very nice. We stayed at the Chateau Laurier in downtown. There were a lot of weddings there over the weekend. Our room had a beautiful view too. We were right next to the Rideau Canal's locks, Parliment, museums and the By Ward Market. We spent most of our time at the By Ward Market which was full of nice restaurants, pubs, a farmer's market with fresh food and crafts. Our Columbus Day is Canada's Thanksgiving, so we even ate a yummy Thanksgiving lunch at the nearby Hard Rock Cafe before getting back on the plane.

Dewberry Farms and the Copy Cat Kid

I feel a bit strange including this, but I think it makes light of my months of nausea. While I was getting ready in the morning, Brady lifted the toilet lid and started coughing inside. We thought it was pretty funny, so Taylor pulled out the camera. We went to Dewberry Farms with the Smoters. Brady and James got to ride ponies for the first time. Brady would have been happy to hang out with the ponies all day long. The hayless hay ride. Father teaches son how to drive.

Happy boys smashing pumpkins

Sweet John Patrick was cheerful all day long, but he did not want a photo with the pumpkins.
