Every Day Moments

I haven't blogged in awhile. I feel like life is changing all around us. At school, Brady spent the past few weeks transitioning to his new class. This means he eats school food (no baby food), school milk (no formula), no bottle, no pacifier and no morning nap. With no morning nap, Brady takes a longer afternoon nap and he's ready to go to bed around 7:30pm (instead of 8:30pm).
We limit Brady's TV watching to Sesame Street and Discovery Channel shows. One of our latest favorite shows is called "How it's Made". In the photo above, Brady's watching Max the Magician teach about subtraction on Sesame Street.
Brady's been a pretty good eater. Historically, Taylor and I eat freezer dinners in the evenings. Since Brady started eating grown up food, I've been cooking meals that we repeat for the next 3 - 4 evenings for dinner. Spinach quesadillas and whipped sweet potatoes are our favorite. Last week I introduced a whole wheat rigatoni with a meaty marinara sauce. Brady did well; I think he really liked practicing with his fork (happy photos above). We usually leave his clothes on for dinner, but marinara's pretty messy. I was very proud of a tortilla soup that I made, but Brady wasn't a big fan. The learning and discovery process continues for both of us...

in the top picture of the "marinara series", it looks like he's saying:
"Dis marinara, its-ah so good-ah, I cannah even wipe-ah my face-ah, what's the point-ah anyway-ah, more-ah will be-ah on-ah there in seconds-ah, capici?"
