Our neighbors invited us over for dinner, and the dress was elegantly casual. Here's Brady dressed for the occasion. He knows he looks good.

Lazy Bloggin'
So I've been mixing my blog topics lately, instead of separating them into different posts. I don't know why, but it seems easier to me. Taylor and I celebrated our 4th anniversary on Thursday, January 7th, and Taylor brought home these beautiful tulips.
On Saturday, we went to see New Moon and out for a nice dinner. We had intended to go to Vargos, but their heat was out. We ended up going to Mo's on Post Oak, which ended up working out great. Here's a photo of us right before we left.
I'm fascinated with how our fountain froze, so I included another pic.

Lots of Laughs
Brady has always been good, but he's going through a particularly good phase. Everything seems to make him laugh.

A New Day
Brady and Mommy all bundled up for work and school.
Parts of our fountain froze over night.
These pictures were taken at a River Oaks park, just North of the Methodist Church on Westheimer.
We liked this park a lot mostly because it has this big hill, leaves, and a lot of small concrete ramps that Brady likes to run around on by himself.
Brady giggles to himself as he contemplates sliding down the slide.
In an earlier post, I mentioned how Brady eats seaweed salad (nori) and how it looks like little green worms. Well, here's a picture of Brady getting his daily dose of worms.

Beach Bums
Papa rented a really great house in Surfside this week. There were 20 of us total; the house was huge and held all of us comfortably. Taylor and I were really grateful to have a king size bed; it's hard to go back once you're used to sleeping on a king.
We went to Galveston's Rainforest Cafe for the first time; it was a lot of fun! Brady made lion, gorilla and elephant sounds at the electronic animals. After lunch, we rode on the little boat ride, which resembles "It's a Small World" at Disney. Brady was a little bit afraid. There were no tears shed, but he was definitely a bit overwhelmed. I was glad we got him this little jungle cat (a Lynx) to hold onto through the ride.
We stayed in the house on the right. Kelly Jo and Megan watched Brady try out his rain boots for the first time.
I know it's a little indulgent to have this many pictures of the same thing, but I couldn't help myself.
After a small fall (proven by the sandy bottom), Brady confidently marched right back towards the water.
Luke and Brianna were pretty cheerful on the trip, especially considering they were both a bit sick. They left a day early to go to the doctor.
Brady learned how to climb on a chair by himself. He was quite proud.
Watching Pappaw play guitar always entertains us.
Brianna got quite a few fairies for Christmas.
Nathan and Sam play on the Wii upstairs.
Merry Christmas from the Bacots
On Christmas Eve Eve, the Bacot family (Taylor's parents and siblings) went to the Alley Theater to see A Christmas Carol, compliments of Uncle Jeffrey (THANK YOU!). Brady stayed at home with Grammy and Pappaw, where Pappaw gave Brady this cool Jeep gear. Pappaw has a hat to match this; this is the first hat that Brady's happy to leave on his head.
We had Christmas Eve dinner at the Bacot's. Brady received a lot of great little toys. He got a wooden semi-truck, a little crane, an Elmo plush and clothes.
We're so grateful to get Luke's hand me downs. This cute little Christmas outfit was his last year.
Here's a picture of what Santa brought Brady.
Grammy and Pappaw got Brady these big cardboard blocks. They were quite a hit.
Brady calls the authorities to report vandalism of a brick tower.
