Marche du Sceaux

This morning, we went to the Marche (pronounced Marshay) du Sceaux to enjoy the town and to buy groceries for tonight's dinner party with my Dad's neighbors.
I love HEB, but something about these local markets always warms my heart.
Here's a good photo of the Marche du Sceaux.  We bought our lunch (the kids and I shared an amazing, huge slice of quiche florentine with goat cheese) at the Brasserie under the awning on the left.  We also bought cheeses, eggs and butter from the fromagerie on the corner, under the red awning.
These chalkboards always seem so French to me.
We walked home through the Parc du Sceaux, and stopped at this little area to eat our lunch.  Grammy and Pappaw got the kids new toys.  Anna Belle was content to smile at her toy in the box, but Brady wanted to play with his new cars.  He buried them in the rocks several times, and Anna Belle was eager to help.
While Brady focused on his cars, Anna Belle chased after me while I tried to snap photos.

The roses along the promenade were really pretty.  The top of the photo shows the Petite Chateau of Sceaux.  The big chateau is covered in scaffolding.

Brady was afraid of this tree at first.  With all of its knots, it did remind me of the apple trees in the Wizard of Oz.
